About Madeline

With over 20 years guiding technical and non-technical teams in all aspects of operations, Madeline Figueroa (2000 NHLI Executive Leadership Program alumna) has played an instrumental role in the success of various national and international organizations serving the healthcare, document management, business process outsourcing, as well as financial and professional services sectors.

As a creative and resourceful operations management professional with a strong history of effective leadership, she understands and possesses the business savvy and the management attributes necessary to direct mission-critical programs and projects.

Through the years, Madeline has learned to balance her demanding professional and personal lives.

In addition of serving as Program Director at Automated Data Processing (ADP), she recently launched an event planning business, Absolute Expressions – that targets smaller gatherings and enables the host(s) to offer an elegant atmosphere for networking, or social events while not breaking the bank.

Her ability to multitask, prioritize and take charge of her life has been critical as Madeline battles cancer.

In November of 2009, Madeline was diagnosed with breast cancer and in spite of surgeries, chemo and radiation treatments and other time consuming appointments, she has managed to work it all into her schedule. She is currently writing a blog about her experience, while maintaining a full work load and studying for her PMP Certification from the prestigious PMI Institute.

She uses her personal story as a platform to inspire other leaders to take charge and manage their professional life efficiently without neglecting the personal one.
