Southwest Airlines unveiled details of the All-New Rapid Rewards program, the carrier's frequent flyer program, which will officially launch on March 1, 2011. In the enhanced program, Members can redeem their points for every seat, every day, on every flight with absolutely no blackout dates or seat restrictions, and points won't expire with any earning activity in a 24-month time period. Members will earn points for every dollar spent on Southwest flights.
The new program also features enhanced A-List and Companion Pass programs for the most active Members, and includes a new level of status with A-List Preferred. A-List Members will also enjoy new benefits.

UPS has earned the top score in the consumer shipping sector on the annual "Climate Counts" scorecard for the second year running.
UPS also received the 9th highest score across all industries among the 143 ranked companies and ranked No. 1 in the consumer shipping sector.
Climate Counts ranks the world's largest companies based on 22 criteria that focus on measuring and reducing climate impact, corporate support of public policy initiatives on climate change and openness and transparency in reporting. The Climate Counts ranking is just the latest in a long list of honors for environmental leadership awarded UPS. Other honors include: Newsweek's Greenest Companies; Best Green Companies for America's Children - Working Mother magazine; Top 50 Green Supply Chain Partners - Inbound Logistics, and the California Air Quality Award - Coalition for Clean Air. UPS also was ranked No. 1 in social responsibility on Fortune's Most Admired Companies list.

American Express partnered with HandsOn Network, the largest volunteer network in the nation, to implement the organization’s signature HandsOn Schools program, which aims to reestablish schools as the focal part of the community. Through this collaboration, the company designed “Travel with Your Mind,” a year-round school-based community service program focused on engaging students, teachers, parents and community members in travel and multicultural-themed volunteer projects within at-risk schools in Atlanta, Detroit, Memphis, Minneapolis, New York and Seattle. |
