Pérez Donates $10,000 to NHLI Endowment

NHLI exists due to the unwavering support of Latinas throughout the world. The financial and professional contributions of all varying size and degree guaranteed that the organization would continue, even during the most difficult of times. Now, thanks to a very generous gift from Dr. Bertha Pérez (00), NHLI’s future is now more secure than ever.

Dr. Pérez and her husband, Richard Xavier King, have donated $10,000 to start an endowment fund for NHLI. The Texas Fellow enjoyed NHLI so much that she decided she wanted to share this experience with others, “The NHLI experience is so unique, and the ideas, skills and strategies that women develop in the leadership training is so powerful, I think it is very important for other Latinas to have the opportunity to participate.” With such a wonderful start to the endowment, NHLI will be able to continue to offer its critical programs for a long time.
