2008 Latinas Learning to Lead

Latinas Learning to Lead Summer Youth Institute

About the Program

NHLI’s Latinas Learning to Lead Summer Youth program promotes and fosters the development of young college-age Latina leaders through leadership training, and technical and practical experience, during a one-week comprehensive curriculum program in Washington, D.C.

Session topics include resume writing and interviewing skills, effective communication and presentation skills, public policy issues affecting the Latino community, and other professional and leadership development topics, including a Clifton StrengthsFinder session at Gallup University, financial literacy and a technology component.

The 2009 Latinas Learning to Lead program will take place during the week of June 19-27.
